Currents at Tawarik are generally mild to moderate, which makes navigation straightforward and allows divers to focus on observing the reef rather than fighting the water. On days when a stronger current runs through, it can bring excellent pelagic action and nutrient-rich water that stimulates reef activity. The warmest water temperatures and peak visibility are experienced from October to December, just before the onset of the cyclone season. However, diving is possible year-round, and even the wetter months from December to April can offer rewarding dives on calmer days.
